About The International Tempest Yacht
The International Tempest is an exceptional racing yacht. Designed in 1965 by Ian Proctor to great acclaim, it was used as the Olympic two-man keelboat in the 1972 & 1976 Olympics and has a strong following, particularly in Europe. A Tempest can hold its own against most modern sportsboats.
The class is managed by the International Tempest Association (www.tempestclass.com) and is an international class governed by ISAF (www.sailing.org)
The International Tempest Association of Great Britain (www.uktempest.co.uk) is the UK national association for the International Tempest class yacht.
